Project Description

Urban studies/planning/design street and walkway re-construction project surrounding a two-mile length of a new light-rail project in the Boyle Heights neighborhood of the city of Los Angeles. Study, development and design of multiple pedestrian and bicycle improvements surrounding four stations on the Gold Line Eastside Extension light rail line: Pico/Aliso Station, Mariachi Plaza Station, Soto Station and Indiana Station. This project utilizes funding from multiple programmatic sources to improve the experience of people walking and biking in the vicinity of these four stations.

Project Highlights

The project consists of multiple cost studies which represent potential scope of work. The studies were divided into residential streets, commercial streets, fitness/health streets, garden streets, and safety improvements. Each study includes associated demolition, landscaping, irrigation, paving, signage, intersection work, lighting, signaling, and associated sitework.
