Project Description

Located adjacent to the Culver City community of Los Angeles, West Los Angeles College (WLAC) was established in 1969. The 70 acre campus currently serves about 12,000 students primarily from the Culver City, West Los Angeles and surrounding areas and offers a variety of vocational courses and academic programs for those who plan to transfer to four year colleges. The campus was in desperate need of site and infrastructure upgrades and new, energy efficient classrooms and special facilities for their Aviation, Paralegal, Allied Health, Dental Hygiene and Entertainment and Media Arts programs. To accomplish this ambitious transformation, WLAC received a $400 million dollar construction bond fund allocation for overall site improvements, improved pedestrian and ADA access, deferred maintenance repairs, new parking lots and structures, new construction academic facilities and an improved outside campus environment.

LENAX has worked on the following West Los Angeles College projects:

  • Student Services Building
  • General Classroom Building
  • Watson Center
  • Parking Structure
  • Teaching and Learning Center
  • Plant Facilities Center - FMO
  • Campus Improvements - Street Improvements and Fire Road
