Project Description

Located in the Valley Glen community of Los Angeles, Los Angeles Valley College (LAVC) currently serves about 20,000 students from Studio City, Sherman Oaks, North Hollywood, Van Nuys, Burbank, Tarzana, Panorama City and Encino. Established in 1949, the 105 acre campus was in need of major renovation and deferred maintenance projects to meet the growing demand for degree and certificate programs in Child Development, Biology, Information Technology, Media Arts, Music, Computer Science and Engineering. In addition, new construction building facilities would be needed to accommodate LAVC's need to expand their vocational programs in Fire Technology, Nursing and Respiratory Therapy. A $633 million dollar construction bond funded program was established to transform the aging campus and modernize its existing facilities and utility infrastructure to meet current and future demand.
